Verrazzano and Greve Tour

9:30am I will pick You up where ever You are located in florence than departure to Castello di Verrazzano which is situated on a hilltop of Greve in Chianti. At the Castello di Verrazzano it is possible, with several kind of programmes, to take guided tours of the historical but still working cellars. During the visit, strolling in the late-Reinassance gardens of the Villa, you will discover the great history of the Navigator Giovanni da Verrazzano and have the chance to see the wild boar bred in the surrounding woods. After The tour You will have guided wine tasting of classic wines, extra-virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Vin Santo together with the traditional almond biscuits.Afterall the owner is glad to invate You in a tipical tuscan light lunch where You can taste many local grilled food on the uge anthique chimney (at the moment).later we will leave the Castle

in direction of Greve in Chianti. The birthplace of Verrazzano.Greve in Chianti is often considered the entrance gate into the Chianti region since it is the first major town you reach as you head south of Florence toward Siena. Piazza Matteotti is the main piazza in Greve and even if it isn't "square", it is still the focal point of the town. A small town with a few museums and monuments to visit, Greve still offers a chance to enjoy a relaxing walk in and around the main square What makes the square particular, apart from its strange shape, is the portico on three sides of the square. The portico continues to serve as the frame for artisan shops, workshops and restaurants selling local products. Some of these shops are famous so make sure to stop by: one of these is the Antica Macelleria Falorni a Tuscan butcher shop that has been in the same spot since 1729, and another is the Bottega dell'Artigianato, a shop specialized in hand-woven baskets and products made in olive wood. Finally we will not missed to visite Montefioralle. The small fortified village located on a hill above Greve less than a mile away from Greve's main square. Here the famous explorer Amerigo Vespucci was born; the ancestral home is located along the main street, its only distinguishing mark is the family's coat of arms with a wasp above its doorway - see if you can find it!

At the end of Our tour I will be glad to gift You The Piazza Michelangelo where You can take a picture of You with the cenery behind of the view of Florence.

17:30 arrival to Your residence or Hotel.
